Scarlett and the paparazzi
Thursday, March 29th, 2007The Fellini film “La Dolce Vita” is a classic. It also spawned the word “paparazzo” from one of its characters, which became the standard term for photographers eager to get a glimpse and earn money from the celebrities.
Scarlett Johansson, who keeps her private life very private isn’t at all comfortable with the roving and enterprising paparazzi.
TMZ reported unlike Giselle Bündchen who isn’t afraid of flashes coming her way, Scarlett attempted to hide herself wrapping her face in a scarf–on a 70-degree day in New York– and blocking her face with a fedora. Or, in this video using a large black umbrella.
TMZ said “ScarJo (referring to Scarlett , of course) tried to sneak out the back door of West Hollywood eatery Il Sole, flanked by an army of bodyguards, all the while hiding behind the umbrella. Johansson then opened her bumbershoot inside the SUV, and remained hidden until the car pulled away. In Scarlett’s defense … it was drizzling.”
