Now that the shooting has begun we are slowly finding out who are the other actors involved in Woody Allen’s film project, working title “Midnight in Barcelona.”

How can I forget Patricia Clarkson, who has been seen with Scarlett on the shooting yesterday, a fine actress whose talents is so immense. Aside from Ms. Clarkson, Rebecca Hall, Kevin Dunn, Pablo Schreiber (Liev’s brother), Carrie Preston, Chris Messina and Abel Folk will keep Scarlett, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem’s company.

Anyway, I found the timetable (complete with the fan’s comments) of the shooting, courtesy of a curious cineaste. (I assumed the film enthusiast is a he.) In his diary, he found himself entranced with Scarlett and quite understood why Woody is so fascinated with the actress.

Then I saw Scarlett Johansson for the third time in my life. In less than a week. Her hair is blonde and quite impressive. What a feeling to see her so close going inside a black van. She looks so wonderful. I understand Woody Allen wants her to be her muse.

He also mentioned that Woody Allen is without a star attitude. The director didn’t mind fetching his own food from the catering vehicle.

No doubt the government of Barcelona is grateful of Woody Allen and Co.’s presence. How about the average citizens? Are they happy that Hollywood is raging their city, which now slowly loses its tradition of practicing siesta because of globalisation?

Like what we have gathered this week, Scarlett has flown to Spain to star in the new Woody Allen’s said to be “love letter” to the European country. If you were in Barcelona right now, you might have a chance to see the actress and the A-list director working on their new project.

Scarlett is Woody’s current flavour of the month. She was in his former films “Scoop” and “Matchpoint.” In the Spanish project, she plays as a tourist in Spain. Hence, images of her holding a camera. Would that be a real working (digital) camera????

According to the news, the shooting will take seven weeks. Aside from Barcelona, other locations will be a one-week stay in the northern Spanish region of Asturias and one day in New York.

Barcelona would be the second European city to feature in a full-length Allen movie.

Scarlett has arrived in Barcelona, Spain.

According to Scarlett Fan, the actress might have flown to the Spanish city apparently on July 2 right after she was photographed in New York.

Remember those pictures in which she sported a golden nose ring and a coloured tattoo? Her styling clearly made a fuss. Some called it “radical” others hideous or awful.

Curiously speaking, Scarlett doesn’t look like wearing a septum ring on the Barcelona pics. But a few fans from The Skinny website attested that the actress has it for years. And in order for the piercing doesn’t close up she usually wears a clear ring. The reason we don’t see it now. Maybe.

Wearing an A-line light brown summer dress with floral prints, she said to have visited Barcelona’s cultural offerings. Scarlett must be very eager to start the film project. Variety reported that there is no name for Woody Allen’s film yet. Typically Spanish.com recently revealed that it is titled “Midnight in Barcelona.”

The British teen magazine Bliss recently talked to Scarlett concerning L-O-V-E. Just like you and me she still dreams of being swept off her feet, that is, wishing to find true love and Mr. Right.

I find it somewhat ironic when she also confessed in the past that being monogamous is “challenging.”

“As an actress, it can be quite tough having a partner, because you’re always travelling from one city to another, which makes it hard to get to know someone and build a connection with them. But I’m not complaining. I get to meet lots of interesting guys and travel to so many great cities, which I love. One day, I’m going to surprise myself and fall completely head over heels for someone and be swept off my feet!”

Scarlett has previously linked to Jared Leto and Josh Hartnett. She is now rumoured to be dating Ryan Reynolds, Alanis Morissette’s ex-fiance.

It is somewhat dry in the Scarlett-land today. Aside from film assignments she is undertaking, there’s her venture/target to enter the music biz. Apart from her rendition of “Summertime” and her so-so Coachella performance, will she up for it?

One of my fave scenes from the movie “Lost in Translation,” Scarlett singing Pretenders’ “Brass in Pocket,” as Billy Murray’s character looked at her.

Keira Knightley, the skinny British actress who posed together with Scarlett from the Vanity Fair 2006 cover, hasn’t forgotten their team-up and her impressions. She was interviewed by British Elle. Not only she talked about her thin body, but she also mentioned the actresses she admires and Scarlett’s physical appearance.

She was open about her admiration for Scarlett Johansson and her curves. “That kind of decadent flesh is absolutely beautiful. How sexy is that on a woman?”
Knightley was indeed candid about her hang time with Johansson. “We had such a laugh. Scarlett’s a sweetheart. I’m not completely comfortable with my body but I just thought, ‘F*** it’.”

For a very long time Keira has been the subject of anorexia rumours, she admits that she doesn’t go to gyms to beef up her body but eats everything she wants.

For the second time, honchos at the Louis Vuitton chose her for the new LV ad autumn campaign, which features ready-to-wear designs and leather items, and slated to hit the magazine pages this August.

The ad campaign was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in Los Angeles in late March. Some shots will be published in the upcoming ish of Pop magazine.

Don’t ask me for style but according to press releases, the theme is movie star “evoking at turns Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly.”

Antoine Arnault said: “It’s a very iconic campaign.” Based on the sample photos, the colours are dark and earthy.

According to analysts, Louis Vuitton “spends more than $250 million annually on advertising, most of it print-driven.”

In 2004 Scarlett was offered to do the newly launched Calvin Klein perfume. In it she starred alongside Trent Ford, a British-American model and actor whose acting credits like “Slap Her She’s French,” among the many projects that he has done.

The young actress is known to have lucrative advertisement deals. Apart from CK, she is also one of the faces of Louis Vuitton. Recently she helped launched the luxury brand’s new collection “Love.” Her outfit was done by LV’s resident artist/fashion designer Marc Jacobs whose clientele Sofia Coppola and Winona Ryder.

Digging the goodness of YouTube.com, I have found this early interview of a then 17-year-old Scarlett when she was promoting “Eight-Legged Freaks.” One of the films that I am pretty sure Scarlett would not remember once she gets much older and aims for more serious directors and projects. Dubbed as a B-movie, she discussed her encounter with a cockroach when asked by her host if she ever had an arachnophobia and her impression of Billy Bob Thornton.
Noticeably Scarlett was a redhead here. This was a year before her second breakthrough, “Lost in Translation.”

If anyone knows the name of the show and the host, I am inviting you to share the info with me.

Update: The guy who posted the interview video replied that it was culled from “The Late, Late Show” hosted by none other than the comedian Craig Kilborn.

Everyone is still talking about Scarlett’s performance in her recent Coachella appereance. Perez Hilton reported that his unnamed sources caught the actress and rumoured boyfriend Ryan Reynolds locked lips last weekend.
Now that her movie “The Other Boleyn” with Natalie Portman and Eric Bana as Henry VIII is already in post-production, here are a few of the behind-the-scene pics.

I didn’t know that Scarlett used to be chummy with Lindsay Lohan. Scarlett hinted in one of her interviews Lindsay’s unprofessionalism, that is, arriving late on the set or cancelling the entire shooting. But real friendships are rare in Hollywood.
Scarlett, however, admitted that she wanted to star alongside Natalie as she admires her talent. During the course of filming, they became friends. Hopefully they still are.

Lucky Californians. First off, they got a dose of the Scottish shoegazer grandpops Jesus and Mary Chain’s return. And then there was Scarlett proving her singing skills.
The rumour was indeed true. She might not be on the band’s first comeback gig but she was really at the Coachella.
According to Uncut, the actress showed up onstage with the reunited Jesus and Mary Chain on their warm-up gig on April 26 singing “Sometimes Always” onstage in Pomona, California. But Starpulse debunked that there was no Scarlett but instead a giant drag singer Annie Hardy who was with the band’s first comeback show.
However, the day after the band’s warm-up gig, Jim Reid and co. this time was joined by the actress taking the main stage of the Coachella music festival on Friday.
Singing vocals on the track “Just Like Honey,” the actress was caught sporting a ’60s psychedelic mini dress, a straw hat smacked in red high heels. Access Hollywood said that “Scarlett joined the band on stage three-quarters of the way through their set.”
According to NME, Jim was heard telling the crowd: “This is fucking unreal.”

The band took the stage just after the sun had set over the mountainous California desert. Dressed all in black, they tore through classics including ‘Head On’ and ‘Some Candy Talking’ as well as a new song.
“Are you having fun?” he asked. When the crowd responded positively he quipped, “Well let’s see what we can do about that!”
This didn’t stop the audience from dancing and cheering throughout their hour-long set.
Just when The Jesus And Mary Chain appeared to be winding things down, Lost In Translation actress Johansson took the stage dressed in a colourful paisley mini-dress. Without saying a word, she joined Reid on vocals for the chorus of ‘Just Like Honey’.
“Wasn’t that nice?” Reid asked after they finished their duet and Johansson left the stage.
The band then launched into their final song, ‘Reverence’, before wrapping things up.

Jim did not introduce the actress to the screaming crowd but hugged her at the end of the song.
Aside from Scarlett, other celebrities who were spotted in the crowd are Coachella regulars Danny DeVito, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, even wild child Lindsay Lohan and Adam Brody from “OC California.”

The Jesus and Mary Chain and Scarlett Johansson

One of the things that separates the young actress from the rest of her contemporaries in Hollywood is her curves and her fascination to retain them. Just like the British actress Kate Winslet, she despises starving herself to achieve that “child look” in which the Olsen twins and Nicole Richie are famous/notorious for.
She has the body and she has the cellulite. No doubt about that. She might not be sporty, doesn’t go to the gyms and sweat herself till she drops. And she doesn’t have any regrets if she hasn’t the fitness club membership to tone her abs.
In her recent “Saturday Night Live” appearance where she was the host, a few of her shots took so many Scarlett haters of this website to slam her choice of not to hunger herself and gym absence.
As long as she is happy with her body, it doesn’t matter if she has gained weight.

Way back in high school doing a dressing-up drama where I and my orgmates played “beauty contestant uglies,” a friend overheard the boys at the back who quipped, “Geez, what a sight for these pretty girls!” Hell, it was flattering but it could be a lot of fun for someone who is an actress and has made her name through countless lists of beauty/sexy ranking and magazine covers.

Just for laughs, Scarlett played down her physical appearance by dressing up as an ugly alien during last Saturday’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.” She appeared as a balding alien living in a comedienne’s stomach on US television.

The actress hosted the satirical show when she came out to play a “quatto” who had taken over cast regular Maya Rudolph’s stomach in one sketch.
She ended the hilarious skit by tongue kissing a fellow quatto, played by comedian Andy Samberg, while human guests at a party threw up.
Johansson further showed off her comedy skills on the show by playing Donald Trump’s socialite daughter Ivanka, a bratty socialite on the hunt for a trampy prom dress and the daughter of a New York marble column salesman. Source

Scarlett admits in one of her interviews abroad that the reason the press sees her differently is due to the fact that she doesn’t live in California. Unlike the alleged “fakeness” surrounding Los Angeles, New York is huge and chaotic. Scarlett, an avowed New Yorker, definitely showers the city with adoring phrases any way she can.
After the live TV groping by E! reporter Isaac Mizrahi in 2006, the horrified Scarlett doesn’t hold grudge against the reporter and would be happy to talk to him at other events in case Isaac would like to touch her again, “I can take care of myself. I’m from New York.”

On Monday, photogs caught the hooded Scarlett showing “some team pride” to her city by wearing a Yankees cap on her way through LAX security.
“I love New York. I loved growing up here,” She was quoted telling Glamour magazine. Thanks to her mum and dad, who gave her the freedom she needs.
“My parents were always very liberal and open,” she said.
Scarlett revealed that she used to hang out around George Segal’s sculpture, Gay Liberation, and hunted almost every bar at Christopher Street.
“I used to love to play around George Segal’s Gay Liberation sculpture of the couples sitting on the bench at Sheridan Square. I’d run up and down Christopher Street and sneak into the bars.”
