Scarlett to play Betty Grable
According to the New York Post, Scarlett hopes to portray Betty Grable, an American dancer, singer, and actress from the ’30s till ’50s, in the movie.
A source told a US newspaper: “She wants the role. Scarlett just knows she wants to play the part. With Betty Grable’s life set in the ’40s, there wouldn’t be a heavy accent on nudity, which is something Scarlett does not want to do. Not that there’s necessarily at this precise moment a script already written, greenlighted and ready to go about bandleader trumpet player Harry James’ movie star wife. This generation’s hotshot beauty just knows she wants to play the part.”
Betty’s sensational bathing-suit photo, with her head looking over her right shoulder, became the No. 1 pin-up girl of the World War II era, which was later included in Life Magazine’s “100 Photos that Changed the World.”
One of her popular movies is “How to Marry a Millionaire” with Lauen Bacall and Marilyn Monroe.
Betty was also known for her shapely legs, which were showcased in all of her 20th Century Fox Technicolor musicals and were famously insured by her studio for $1,000,000 per leg at Lloyds of London. She died of lung cancer in 1973 at the age of 56.
Scarlett, who was once again again quoted by saying that she doesn’t think monogamy is natural, thinks that any person remains faithful to one partner. “I’ll get flack for saying this, but I do believe that human beings aren’t instinctively monogamous.”
Betty married twice. While Scarlett ejoys her bachelorettehood.
