Vanity Fair 2006
Do you still remember the Vanity Fair spread featuring Scarlett and Keira Knightley in February 2006? The folks at the magazine called it “Hollywood issue.” The two actresses were naked except for fashion designer/stylist Tom Ford. The sultry photo was taken by none other than Anne Leibovitz.
Scarlett’s curvaceous body against Keira’s thin frame. Take your pick.
Now this is the in-the-making video for that! Watch it!

I found this issue in a stack the other day, and it reminded me how much I hated that cover. Someone else, I forget who, was supposed to be the third person on the cover and they backed out … so they put a fully clothed Tom Ford in there with Scarlett and Kiera with very creepy results. I especially hated it because the VF Hollywood issue used to be famous for these AMAZING ensemble photos of stars you might otherwise never see photographed together, and this just seemed like sensational crap. So needless to say I can’t watch the video, but this does remind me of something I need to throw away!

Rachel McAdams should be the third woman on the cover.
i say pictures taken just for the sake of being nude is not for me.
but i am for photographs that are done with taste.
needless to say, Anne Leibovitz’s images are engaging and she is an amazing photo artist.
